BIOGRAPHY

Mykola M. Novik

Born in 1948 in the village of Sokolovka of Kozeletskiy district, Chernihiv region,  Ukraine .

In 1967 graduated from Kiev Technical School for Geological Prospecting.

In 1974 graduated from Kiev State Taras Shevchenko University, the Department of Geology, majoring in hydrogeology and engineering geology.

1974-1981 –  hydrogeologist, senior hydrogeologist, head of the geological party at the Crimean geological prospecting expedition. Specialized geological, hydrogeological and engioneering-geological survey of the Crimean highlands for the purpose of seismic zoning.

1981-1987 – head of the geologic department at the Experimental and Methodic Party at the Institute of Mineral Resources (Simferopol city). Investigation of the processes of modern geodynamics and earthquake warnings in the Crimea.

1987-1999 – junior research associate, research associate at the Department of Seismology, Institute of Geophysics named after S.I.Subbotin under the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Geodynamic, tectonophysical, neotectonic and seismotectonic investigations in the Crimea and the Carpathians, at the nuclear power plants.

Since 1980 doing research into the theoretical justification of the biolocation phenomenon («dowsing») and creation of biotechnical (bionic) measuring systems based on the above phenomenon for geophysical investigations. Since 1999 all the research and development in this direction have been conducted independently on the basis of the private enterprise. The result of the research done so far is the technology of Passive magnetic resonance subsurface investigations (the PMRSE) using biotechnical measuring systems.

There are published papers covering all research directions.
